Meth lab busted

Tuesday, May 27, 2003

An anonymous complaint led to a methamphetamine laboratory bust Sunday.

At about 7:50 p.m. an outbuilding at 9802 South SR 157 in Clay County was searched and found to have a working meth lab.

Sgt. Rob Gambill and Deputy Dan Best of the Clay County Sheriff Department, along with Chief Terry Skaggs of the Clay City Town Marshals, investigated and called Indiana State Police Clandestine Laboratory Team Troopers Chad Hilton and Mike Eslinger to dismantle the lab.

Reserve Deputies Chris Robinson, Mark Hoffman and Jim Snyder, along with Chief Mike Deakins of the Staunton Town Marshals, also assisted with scene security.

Clay County Sheriff Department is seeking charges in reference to this lab and the matter is still under investigation.
