Four teenagers were treated at St. Vincent Clay Hospital Tuesday evening after a vehicle flipped, ejecting two of its passengers.
Justin L. Kinder, 16, was driving on Waterworks Road at 7:32 p.m. Tuesday. When attempting to back his 1994 Ford Ranger onto the parking lot at Craig Park, he drove over a small bump from an old railroad grade, according to a city police report. The truck flipped over backwards on to the top of the truck, ejecting two passengers. The vehicle slid a short distance before coming to a rest on the lot.
Kinder and three passengers: Michael C. Norris, 16, 1341 Pinecrest Drive; Michael Cook, 16, 10256 N. CR 25E.; and Andrew Krout, 15, 624 Forest Ave., were all transported to St. Vincent Clay Hospital, where they were treated and released for injuries suffered in the accident. Kinder was cited for a traffic violation.
The vehicle sustained between $2,500 and $5,000 damages.
