The Brazil Crisis Pregnancy Center has concluded the 2003 Baby Photo Contest held at the Clay County 4-H Fair. The first place winner was Grant Logan Johnson, son of Brian and Jana Johnson. The second place winner was Hayden Smith, daughter of Jeff and Cathy Smith.
First place received a $50 US Savings Bond from First State Bank and second place received one $50 US Savings Bond from Riddell National Bank. The first and second place winners also received various gifts from the following merchants: A+ Printing, Adamson's Cleaners, American Family Insurance, Brazilian Lanes, Brazil Public library, CVS Double -N- Diner, Eckard Photo, Fiesta Hair, First Christian Church Daycare, Friends & Flowers, Forest Park Golf Course, Clay Co. Humane Society, Jim's Barber, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Movie Gallery, Page's Food Store, Papa John's Pizza, Pizza Hut, Sherwin Williams, Simple Pleasures, Subway, Sugar Ridge Nursery, Sunshine Bible and Gifts, Timberland, Wendy's and the YMCA.
Twenty-five beautiful babies were entered in this year's contest. The Crisis Pregnancy Center is very appreciative of each family that participated and everyone who voted for the babies. Donations raised $2,443.70 for the ongoing work of the Brazil Crisis Pregnancy Center located at 20 N. Meridian Street. The Crisis Pregnancy Center thanks The Brazil Times for promoting the contest, to the merchants who provided prizes, and to all the volunteers who helped with the contest or worked at the booth.
