The Clay County Community is invited to celebrate the opening of St. Vincent Clay Hospital's new Ambulatory Surgery and Diagnostic Center Saturday.
The $8.5 million addition will house a endoscope, new surgery suites, radiology and cardiopulmonary diagnostics services.
The wing also houses a new chapel that was dedicated Wednesday by Monsignor Joseph F. Schaedel, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Father Rob Hausladen, Pastor of Annunciation Church assisted with the Inaugural Mass.
Saturday's celebration will not only allow the public to view the new facility but also take part in several health screens that will be offered including heart and stroke analysis, cholesterol check, and bone density screening.
Several community groups will be on hand to provide additional information to the community about local services offered. Refreshments to be served include soft drinks, hot dogs, cotton candy and snow cones.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
