Community Theatre of Clay County will hold auditions for the comedy "M*A*S*H" on Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m. Auditions will be held at the theater building located on National Avenue across from Riddell National Bank. The comedy, dramatized by Tim Kelly and based on the book by Richard Hooker, will be directed by Vicki Shorter and calls for a cast of 15 men and 15 women. Volunteers are also needed for various stage crews including lights, sound, props and set. CTCC welcomes and encourages new people to audition and participate in productions.

M*A*S*H is the first regular production of CTCC's 20th season with show dates on Oct. 2- 4, 2003. However, on Sept. 13, there will be an extra production entitled "Actors Night" to raise funds for repairs needed due to damage from the severe storms in July. The evening will feature singing, dancing, a silent auction, and a take-off on the hit TV show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"

Other productions for the 2003-2004 season include: "The Twelve Dancing Princesses," a children's musical, Nov. 7-8; "Christmas Wishes," an original Christmas musical revue, Dec. 4- 6; "A Children's Fairytale Evening," Jan. 23-24, 2004; "Seven Brides For Seven Brothers," a musical by Lawrence Kasha and Johnny Mercer, March 4-6; and "Send Me No Flowers," A Comedy by Norman Barasch, May 13-15, 2004.

All shows, except for the children's theatre productions, require advance reservations and include a buffet dinner. Season and individual show tickets are now on sale and may be purchased by calling 448-8772. Individual show tickets are $20 each and include a buffet dinner.
