The Brazil Rotary Club had its annual Spouses and Friends Night at Traditions Saturday evening presenting top awards to three distinguished members.
Amos Thomas received the Rotary International Special Award for 2003. Sally Schutte was given the President's Award. The coveted Paul Harris Fellow went to Randy Burns.
The award is named for the founder, Paul Harris, a Chicago lawyer who started Rotary International in 1905.
Part of Rotary's mission is the achievement of world understanding and peace through local, national and international humanitarian, educational and cultural programs.
Presented by last year's Paul Harris Fellow, Mike Mogan said of Burns, "Tonight we focus on one man who has his priorities in order; God, family and his fellow man."
