Clay City band places first at Ben Davis

The Clay City Imperial Regiment was in competition last Saturday at the Ben Davis Preview of Champions Marching Band Invitational.

Clay City placed 1st in Class D competition and won caption awards for Best Visual, Best General Effect, and Best Drum Major, Janice Taney.

Other placings were as follows: 2) Tri-West Hendricks, 3) North Posey (Poseyville), 4) North Putnam, 5) Salem, and 6) Indian Creek.

Next action for the Imperial Regiment will be this Saturday at the ISU Mid-States Marching Band Contest. The band performs in Class D at 11:44 a.m. Class D begins at 10:00 a.m. and awards for Class C and Class D will be at 2:20 p.m.
