Oehler appointed to ISMA Board

INDIANAPOLIS - Robert Oehler, M.D., an internal medicine physician from Brazil, Ind., was named an alternate trustee of the Indiana State Medical Association Board of Trustees.

Dr. Oehler was sworn in Sept. 21 during proceedings of the ISMA annual meeting at the Westin Hotel in Indianapolis. He represents the 5th District, which includes Putnam, Clay, Vigo, Parke and Vermillion counties.

The Board of Trustees is the ISMA's executive body is composed of representatives from 13 districts in the state. Dr. Oehler will serve a three-year term that expires in 2006.

The ISMA represents 8,000 of the state's physicians, promoting sound health care policy in the public, private and governmental sectors and working to support continuing medical education for the state's doctors.
