Northview junior golfer Brittany Cheek matched the school record for highest individual finish for a golfer at the Indiana High School Golf Championships on Saturday with her 16th place finish.
Cheek matched her Friday score of 83 on Saturday to finish with a 166 for the tournament that matched current Northview senior Amy Thiemann's place in last year's final.
As a team, the Knights finished in 12th place after not qualifying for the second round on Saturday morning.
Warsaw freshman Emily Johnson shot a four-over 76 on Saturday to give her a two round total of 148 and the tournament title over North Decatur's Angela Gauck who carded a 152.
Northview Tennis Sectional
The host Knights advanced to the sectional championship before losing to Western Indiana Conference foe Owen Valley four matches to one.
Northview defeated Rockville in the sectional's opening round as Cody Melega defeated Tyler Michael 6-1, 6-2 and Shawn Hughes won 6-0, 6-2 over Ricky Morris in singles action.
In doubles, Stefan Kiefer and Alex Smith defeated Jared Hogan and Jason Todd of the Rox, 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 at number two doubles for a 3-2 match victory.
In the championship, Melega was the lone winner for the Knights with his 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 win over Brett Worland of the Patriots.
Owen Valley will advance to the Center Grove Regional to face the host school on Tuesday evening.
The Knights finish the season at 6-9 overall.
