A suspect arrested in Clay County Friday night will not fight extradition to Mississippi, according to Indiana State Police.
Although further information was not available Monday due to the Columbus Day Holiday, police say Ned Lee Torrey, 46, a resident of Mississippi, has agreed to return to Mississippi to face charges related to a parole violation for armed robbery and murder and answer questions about an unrelated homicide.
Torrey was arrested Friday night following a three-county chase through Putnam, Clay and Vigo counties, resulting in damage to state police cars. The Clay County and Vigo County sheriff's departments assisted in the pursuit, as did the Brazil and Terre Haute city police departments.
Torrey was charged with resisting police and incarcerated in the Clay County Jail on $10,000 cash bond.
