Robyn Rennick of Hardman & Associates will present a workshop for tutors, teachers, instructional assistants, administrators and anyone who works with middle school students through adult learners on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, from 8 a.m. -- 2:30 p.m. at the LEAAP Center, 501 East Jackson Street in Brazil.
The ways dyslexia/ ADD/SLD affect the health, learning, employment and emotional areas of life will be explored with an overview of the reading differences in students.
Multisensorial techniques for teaching reading and the content areas will be explained. Lunch will be included. This workshop, funded by the CAPE grant, will be provided free of charge to Clay County residents, tutors, and Clay Community Schools staff. Others will be charged $25.
