ISU bands to perform

The Indiana State University Symphonic Band and Concert Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 in Tilson Auditorium.

The Concert Band's performance will include Karl King's "Trombone King," Percy Grainger's "Themes from Green Bushes," David Holsinger's "On a Hymnsong of Lowell Mason," "Three Songs from Sussex" by Hugh Stuart, "Variation Overture" by Clifton Williams and Samuel Hazo's "Every Time You Tell Their Story." The Concert Band will be under the direction of Dennis Ballard and student conductors Amber Day, Rayung Kim, Amanda McClurg and Brooke Hawley.

The Symphonic Band's portion of the concert will include, "Samson" by Karl King, "Blessed Are They" by Johannes Brahms, "A Movement for Rosa" by Mark Camphouse, "Old Churches" by Michael Colgrass and Jan van der Roost's "Suite Provencale." The Symphonic Band will be under the direction of Doug Keiser and graduate conductor Damien Geter.
