ISU gets Lilly grant

Monday, January 12, 2004

Indiana State University has been awarded a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. for its summer teacher's workshop.

Indiana State's School of Education was awarded the $125,653 grant for "Expanding Teacher Creativity 2004: A Summer Workshop for Teacher Creativity Fellows," an annual workshop for Indiana teachers who are past recipients of a Lilly Endowment Teacher Creativity Fellowship.

Over the past 10 years, some of the most innovative teachers from across Indiana have received a Teacher Creativity Fellowship from the endowment. ISU's three-day summer workshop gives them an open forum to reflect on their original projects, work together on collaborative efforts, explore technology as a tool in the classroom and offer thoughts for teachers across the state.
