The 14th annual WSDM 97.7 Clay County Home Expo, set to take place at the Brazil National Guard Armory on Jan. 23-25, has been postponed until February. Last week the Brazil National Guard informed WSDM that local guardsmen were being called to active duty on the same week.
To avoid a conflict at the Armory facility, new dates for the Clay County Home Expo have been set for Feb. 20-22. Expo hours will be Friday 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. in the Armory. Guests are invited to visit The Brazil Times booth and look through and take home old newspaper photographs.
The free community event will feature 50 exhibitors with door prizes to be given away at each booth. There will also be a Grand Prize drawing and refreshments sold by the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department as a fundraiser. Show-goers can also register for the grand prize drawing as they vote for the 2004 Home Expo "Best of Show." Parking and admission are free.
Vendors and services to be featured at the event include water treatment, lawn care and equipment, landscaping, window repair and replacement, garage door companies, electronics, hot tubs, computers, media, alternative living, military recruitment, banking, investments and finance. Information about several local non-profit organizations will also be featured.
A few booth spaces are still available. If your business or non-profit organization is interested in participating in the Home Expo, contact the WSDM business office at 234-9770.
