To celebrate the 100th day of school, on Friday the students in Mrs. Dowers' first grade class at Cornerstone Christian Academy collected 100 cans of food. The entire school helped collect the 100 food items, which will be donated to the Clay County Food Pantry. The students learned about the pantry and how they help many people in the community. They will visit the pantry at a later date. Anyone interested in helping can donate food items directly to the pantry, located on the corner of Alabama and Pinckley streets in Brazil. The children also participated in other activites, including dressing as though they were 100 years old and finding 100 words in the newspaper.
