Indiana National Guard 38th MSB B Company of Brazil received a visit in Charleston, S.C., by Maj. Gen. Gregory Vadnais on March 3. The General's visit was to ensure morale and welfare of his soldiers at the various ports. He was impressed with the operations in general and said that everyone is upbeat and morale is high.
Capt. Erik Parker, commander of B Company, said once again, the soldiers are doing a fine job.
"I am extremely proud of all of the soldiers," he said. "It is not easy for citizen soldiers to leave behind their family and friends for such a long period of time, but everyone seems to be adjusting to the new environment and the workload quite well."
They are quite busy and April and May look to be even busier. Parker also thanked residents for the elaborate send-off. The support of the community has meant a lot to the soldiers and their families during this trying time.
