First the house, now the store

An excavator, driven by Brian Pearson of Jeff Bell Construction and Excavating, Inc., works on tearing down the old grocery store on Jackson Street. The gray house on the lot was taken down the day before yesterday. These buildings were removed to make way for the new Clay County Jail, which was designed by architectural firm Shenkel Schultz.
