Kurt Luidhardt, Manager, Political Affairs, Indiana Chamber of Commerce, offered specifics about the Chamber's disagreements with Rep. Andy Thomas' voting record:

- HB1424 (RC69): School Instruction Days Education

"The Chamber of Commerce opposed this bill. Thomas voted in favor of it. This bill would have decreased instructional time for students. The Chamber opposes any reduction in instructional time. Instruction time increases were supported by the Chamber in the past and this law would have eliminated progress in this area."

- SB187 (RC551): School Performance Report Education

"The Chamber of Commerce opposed this bill. Thomas voted in favor of it. This bill would have significantly weakened the provisions of PL221. PL221 was created to ensure school accountability. The Chamber believes PL221 is important for improving schools and informing the community of schools' performance."
