Due to the 4th falling on a Sunday, there have been some questions asked in the community. The answers are:
- Yes, fireworks will be on Sunday, the 4th.
- Yes, the grand prize drawing for the $10,000 cash prize will be on Sunday, the 4th.
- Yes, there will be a carnival again this year.
The last question/rumor has probably been circulating because the Popcorn Festival, scheduled this fall, will not have a carnival. But the Rotary carnival is set and the Midway should be rolling on the 4th and the days preceding it.
Speaking of rolling, here is the schedule, as it now stands, according to Rotary President Sam Crawn and Web site (www.brazilrotary.org) administrator Susan Thomas:

Remember, Rotary will draw tickets each night for many prizes. Tickets are available for $5 each or three for $10 from any Rotarian. See Frank Phillips or Evan Wade at The Times if you want to buy tickets. Proceeds go to support local groups.
Many people wait until July 4 to buy tickets, but they miss the opportunity to win daily prizes, said Rotarian Ticket Chairman Bill McDonald at a recent meeting.
