Mullinix honored by military

Master Sgt. Greg Mullinix, of Brazil, received an Army Achievement Award May 4, for duties he performed at Camp Atterbury from Jan. 2-March 17. Mullinix is currently serving at Eagle Base, Bosnia, where he was given the award by Gen. Richard Myers, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The soldier is attached to the Indiana National Guard 38th Battalion Company HHD. The non commissioned officer was responsible for orchestrating the G-4 division set up of all physical equipment, supplies, food and vehicles at Camp Atterbury necessary to facilitate the SFOR Task Force Division in support of the Bosnia rotation.

Mullinix was in charge of the logistics for the occupation and clearance of the G-4 division at Camp Atterbury which included 35 billets (sleeping and administrative facilities) and two dining facilities. He signed for over 3,000 installation items with zero discrepancies.

The award Mullinix received said, "His ability to meet and resolve complex problems made a significant contribution ... and reflect great credit upon himself, the 38th Infantry Division and the United States Army."
