Crabb said that he was "at a loss for words". He spent three years in the Army, 39 years in the school system and 12 years as mayor. "After 54 years of service," he told the crowd, "I guess it's time I relaxed and enjoy it." He added that he has enjoyed the free time with his wife the past few months.
