The Forest Park Pool and Recreation Area will open Saturday (weather and temperature permitting). The water in the pool needs to be in the 70s before the pool can open. The recreation area will be available again, including tennis raquets, basketballs and volleyballs that can be checked out on the north side of the building.
Anyone with a pool pass can leave the pool and make use of the equipment and then regain admittance with no charge, but the equipment can be used by anyone in the park.
Pool hours will be noon-5 p.m. daily. Admission fees for this summer are: Birth to 4 (must be accompanied by an adult) - free; 5-12 - $2.25; 12 and up - $2.75.
Pool passes cost ages 5-12 - $60; 12 and up - $70; family (up to four people; there will be an additional charge of $15 for additional people) - $120.
Pool parties cost $110 for up to 100 people, $135 for 100 people or more.
The shelter north of the pool is available upon request.
Swimming lessons will be given (first session) June 21-July 1, (second session) July 12-22. Lessons are Monday-Thursday, using Fridays for make-up days, if necessary. Lessons are conducted 10-10:30 a.m. and 10:45-11:15 a.m.
The pool will be open on Memorial Day during regular business hours; however, it will be closed for pool parties.
The pool will be closed the 4th of July.
