Four individuals were arrested June 10 by Brazil City Police on drug related charges. A search warrant was served at the home of Joshua L. Casey at 617 S. Grant Street, Brazil, after several weeks of investigation.
Arrested were: Joshua L. Casey, 23, charged with dealing in methamphetamine, Daniel Hamilton, 19, charged with visiting a common nuisance, Susan Burrows, 22, charged with visiting a common nuisance and Kimberly Allsup, 29, charged with visiting a common nuisance.
Casey remains in jail. He is scheduled for trial Aug. 2 in Clay Circuit Court. Hamilton, Burrows and Allsup, who have all bonded out of jail, are scheduled to appear in Clay Superior Court on Monday for an initial hearing.
Officers involved in the arrest were Det. Anthony Hapenny, Det. Martin Beasley, Sgt. Dave Archer, Capt. Andy Whittington, Officer Todd Stemm and Clay City PD Officer Rick Swearingen.
