Concert to celebrate Rotary

Wednesday, June 23, 2004

The Brazil Concert Band, under the direction of Matthew S. Huber, will present "A Rotary Celebration" June 27 at 8 p.m. at the Forest Park Bandshell or Pavilion, if inclement weather.

The Brazil Concert Band has been a main attraction of every Rotary July 4th Celebration and will perform twice for this year's festivities. The second concert will occur on the 4th of July, also at 8 p.m.

A special presentation by the Brazil Concert Band will take place July 6 at Kresge Auditorium on the DePauw University campus in Greencastle at 7 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Greencastle Civic League.

Just back from its tour of New York City where the BCB performed on Ellis Island, this Sunday's show will include "The Washington Post" and "Northern Pines" both by Sousa, "Standard Pop Favorites" by Cofield, "Billboard" by Klohr, and "Star Dust" by Carmichael/Yoder.

Also, "The Music Man" by Willson/Lang, "Cloth of Gold" by Jewell, "The Princess of India", by King, "La Banda Fiesta" by Van Auken, "Knightsbridge" by Coates/Yoder and "The Vanished Army" by Alford.
