As part of his Eagle Scouts project, Justin Myers (second from right) worked on his required community service at the Brazil Clay County Airport all day Friday. The project included repainting benches, putting up a sign and placing mulch and flowers around the sign. Upon its completion, Myers advanced to Eagle Scout, the highest level of Scouting. One must become an Eagle Scout before age 18 and Myers will soon be turning 18.
Myers showed his leadership skills by taking charge of the process. Those who followed Myers' directions included Troop 95 members (from left) Zach Huffman, Joshua Topie, Brady Silvers and (right) Jordan Nelson. Also involved were Eli Topie, Matt Hutcheson, Jordan Nelson, Brad Harting, Preston Hann, Tony Allender, Joel Whittington and Daniel Stark. Myers' father, Jeff Myers, supervised their work.
