An eight-year-old Terre Haute boy was struck by a car while riding his bicycle, State Police say.
Brian Williams, eight, of Terre Haute, was riding his bicycle east on U.S. 40 in Terre Haute at 8:55 p.m. when Amanda Sisk, 24, of Terre Haute hit him. Williams was taken to Union Hospital for head trauma, treated, and transferred to an undisclosed hospital. As of this morning, he was listed in critical condition.
Williams was ejected from the bicycle when Sisk, who was driving a 1996 Pontiac, struck him. At the time of the accident Sisk was driving in the passing lane. Sisk's car suffered $1,000 to $2,500 in damage. She reported no injuries.
No arrests were made at the time of the accident. Investigating was Trooper Jason Gwen.
