Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has been named the recipient of a national award for its overall performance in fund raising during the past three years.
The Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) has selected Rose-Hulman as a winner of the CASE/Wealth ID Awards for Educational Fund Raising.
This year, 1,204 colleges, universities and independent schools were eligible for the award. Only 45 schools were selected to receive the honor.
CASE Interim President John Lippincott said Rose-Hulman is among an exceptional group of colleges, universities and independent schools named to the Circle of Excellence for overall performance in fund raising during the past three years.
The award will be presented at the CASE Annual Assembly in San Diego, Calif. on July 12.
Rose-Hulman will conclude its largest fund raising campaign in school history on June 30. The Vision to be the Best Campaign has raised $253 million in cash and deferred gifts exceeding its $200 million goal.
Mark Richter, vice president for development and external affairs at Rose-Hulman, described the campaign's success as a milestone for Rose-Hulman. "Support to the campaign is a strong indication that our constituents have a high level of confidence in the institution and pride in what we have achieved and will achieve in the future," he said.
