'There she is ...' -- queen, princess pageants are Saturday

The reigning queen, Miss Heather Joy Hewitt invites everyone to attend the 2004 4-H Fair Queen Pageant to be held Saturday at 7 p.m. in the 4-H Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall. Admission is free but donations will be accepted at the door. Fourteen ladies from Clay County will be vying for the title of Miss Clay County and the honor of representing the county at the Indiana State Fair Queen Pageant. The contestants are:

Lauren Ann Burns, 18, the daughter of Kimberly and Randy Alsip and Steve and Lori Burns. She is being sponsored by Affordable Bridal and Tux. Lauren will be a freshman at Indiana State University this fall.

Melissa Jo Chrisman, 17, is the daughter of Becky Chrisman from Brazil. She is being sponsored by 4-H Forever Club. She will be a freshman at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in the fall.

Korey Marie Fields, 16, attends Clay City Sr. High School. She is the daughter of Andy and Angie Persinger of Clay City. Korey is being sponsored by Knust Excavating.

Kathryn Dee Fischer, 20, is the daughter of Len and Pam Fischer. Katy will be a sophomore at Indiana State University in the fall and is being sponsored by H&R Block.

Sadie Mae Froderman, 16, the daughter of Fred and Trish Froderman attends Northview High School. Her sponsor is Clear Lake Veterinary Hospital.

Cameron Jo Gerber, 17, is the daughter of Joe and Cindy Gerber of Clay City. She attends Clay City High School and is being sponsored by Tri Kappa.

Tawnee Lee Hayden, 16, attends Clay City Sr. High School and is the daughter of Tim and B.G. Hayden. She is being sponsored by Howesville Farm Service.

Melissa Marie Medearis, 20, is the daughter of Gail and Scott Kashon and Mark and Donna Medearis. She attends Indiana State University and is being sponsored by Terre Haute Prescription Shop.

Corey Lynee Moss, 17, is the daughter of Tony and Kay Moss. She will be a senior at Northview High School this fall and is being sponsored by Dairy Queen.

Sasha Nicole Osborn, 19, the daughter of Bob and Jane Osborn, attends Purdue University. She is being sponsored by the Pell's.

Chelse Niccole Payne, 16 is the daughter of Alan and Donna Payne. She attends Northview High School and is being sponsored by Blade Runner Mowing and Landscaping.

Erica Kelsey Tucker, 16 attends Northview High School and is the daughter of Larry and Suzanne Tucker. She is being sponsored by Payne Farms.

Larissa Charlynn Turner, 18, is the daughter of David Turner and Lisa Wright. She will be attending St. Mary-of-the-Woods College this fall and is being sponsored by 4-H Horse and Pony Club.

Krista Leigh Wilson, 19, is the daughter of Scott and Jorita Wilson. She will be a freshman at Franklin College this fall and is being sponsored by Van Buren Hustlers 4-H Club.

The reigning princess, Miss Paige Allison Smith would like to invite everyone to attend the 2004 4-H Fair Princess Pageant to be held July 17 at 1 p.m. at the 4-H Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall. Admission is free but donations will be accepted at the door. Fourteen ladies from Clay County will be vying for the title of Miss Clay County 4-H Fair Princess. The contestants are:

Jeni Bridgewater, 15, is the daughter of John and Janet Bridgewater. She attends Northview High School and is being sponsored by Cheryl's Cut and Curl.

Michelle Burris, 12, attends North Clay Middle School. She is the daughter of Wayne and April Burris and is being sponsored by Eppert Farms.

Oakley Christine Campbell, 12, is the daughter of John and Cindy Campbell. She attends North Clay Middle School and is being sponsored by Lone Oak Home Improvement.

Alyssa Ann Clarke, 12, attends North Clay Middle School. She is the daughter of Rod and Elaine Clarke. Alyssa is being sponsored by Tri Kappa.

Ashley Renae Clarke, 14, attends North Clay Middle School. She is being sponsored by 4-H Forever 4-H Club and is the daughter of Rod and Elaine Clarke of Brazil.

Hannah Louise Emmert, 13, is the daughter of Jeff and Melinda Emmert. Hannah attends North Clay Middle School and is being sponsored by Emmert Farms, Inc.

Abby Fischer, 15, attends Northview High School and is the daughter of Len and Pam Fischer. She is being sponsored by H&R Block.

Bonnie Jane Froderman, 13, the daughter of Fred and Trish Froderman, attends North Clay Middle School. Bonnie is being sponsored by Clearlake Veterinary Hospital.

Ashlynn Elizabeth Hauser, 15, is being sponsored by Pizza Villa II. Ashlynn attends Shakamak High School and is the daughter of Steven Hauser and Cindy Keene of Jasonville.

Jennifer Jeffers, 15, is the daughter of Terry and Becky Jeffers. She will be a freshman at Northview High School and is being sponsored by Spring Hill Medical Center.

Stormi Raines, 13, is the daughter of Kristi Raines and Larry Raines. She attends North Clay Middle School and is being sponsored by RJ's Formalwear and Garber Photography.

Rochelle Skaggs, 13, is the daughter of Terry and Kathy Skaggs of Clay City. Rochelle attends school in Clay City and is being sponsored by A&W Restaurant.
