First Financial Bank will offer the Indiana Hunter Education Class free of charge as a service to the community. The three-session program will be held on Aug. 15-17 at the First Conference Center, 4353 S. 7th St., Terre Haute. The class will meet on Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Monday and Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. Participants must attend all three sessions to receive certification.
The course will be taught by conservation officers from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and local volunteers. It is recognized in all states, as well as provinces of Canada, where hunter certification is required. In Indiana, anyone born after Dec. 31, 1986, must be certified in hunter education to obtain a hunting license.
