Now open in Brazil

Monday, July 26, 2004

Pizza Pit Stop, featuring Pizza King products, has been open for business since July 7 at 1030 W. National Ave. Located at the west end of SR 340, the former gas station was converted into a restaurant by owners Vern and Connie Simrell. The couple already owns a Pizza King on the east side of Terre Haute.

Vern said they had 20 or 30 regular customers from Brazil at the Terre Haute location. Some of them suggested that Brazil could use a Pizza King, so the Simrells took their advice. "We looked at the market and found this spot," Vern explained, "and we've been doing well."

Pizza Pit Stop is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. A lunch buffet is available seven days a week in what used to be the garage.
