Approximately 40 participants and hundreds of spectators from around the state showed up at Saturday's demolition derby, held at the 4-H grounds. The drivers were competing for a $1,000 top prize, dragging in modified, beat-up cars to see who could take the most damage. The event was sponsored by the 4-H council and promoted by Doug Dillion.
