Nearly 125 tractors and 40 engines have already pre-registered for the Covered Bridge Antique Power Association's 11th Annual Old Time Tractor and Engine Show scheduled during Billie Creek Village's Steam Harvest Days. The Steam Harvest Day event is held each Labor Day Weekend, this year September 4,5 & 6. Activities include tractor games and tractor parade each day with a special church service on Sunday.
This event is made possible in cooperation with the Covered Bridge Antique Power Association and event co-sponsors Wright Implement and Ra-Comm.
The pre-registered old time tractors and engines represent 20 different tractor and/or engine clubs from throughout Indiana and Illinios. Featured tractor for this year: Massey-Harris.
Tractor and engine registrations can be obtained by calling Billie Creek Village & Inn at (765) 569-3430 or writing to Billie Creek P.O. Box 357, Rockville, In 47872. Registration is also available on-line at www.billiecreekvillage.org. Registration is free of charge.
All of these activities are taking place, while the "old time steam engine puffs away threshing and baling the old fashion way". There will be pottery, broom making and candle demonstrations as well as woodwokring demonstrations, painting and visiting with the School Marm. The Covered Bridge Antique Power Association will also be raffling an antique tractor to be given away on Sunday afternoon.
