- Indiana State Police Graduates 42 New Troopers

Richard B. Bailey and Andrew B. Bailey, both residents of Clay County, graduated from Indiana State Police training Friday.

Richard will be assigned to Indianapolis and Andrew will be assigned to Terre Haute. The new officers and 40 others took their oaths of office Friday in the Indiana Statehouse rotunda.

Delivering the keynote address, Lt. Gov. Kathy Davis congratulated the new troopers.

"The state of Indiana congratulates this year's graduates for their willingness to protect Hoosiers and serve communities around the state," said Davis. "Being an officer takes courage and commitment and we are honored to show our appreciation to you today as you do your part to keep us safe."
