Due to the resignation of James Zentko from the Brazil Township Board, a caucus of precinct committee members must fill the position. The caucus will take place at the Brazil Township Trustee Office on Nov. 15 at 6 p.m.
The following is a brief, but not complete, description of the Board's duties: Advising the trustee concerning matters pertaining to the civil township; organize as a board, and as a board of finance; examine and approve, in whole or in part, the annual report of the trustee; keep a record of all business transacted at all meetings; make appropriations and set tax levies for the ensuing year; make additional appropriations as the need arises; enter into all contracts with other agencies for services provided to the township which include other governmental agencies that provide fire protection to the township outside the corporate limits of the city.
