Josh Clarke was sworn in Tuesday as the newest Clay County Deputy by Judge Ernest Yelton in Clay Circuit Court as Sheriff Rob Carter held the Bible.
Josh has served as a County Reserve Officer since 2001. He graduated from IVY Tech College in 2003, with an associate degree in Criminal Justice. Just a couple months ago, he joined the Brazil City Police Department, but when an opening came up with the Sheriff's Department, Josh quickly applied.
"I kind of felt like I was going home," he said.
The son of Rod and Elaine Clark, Josh got married Oct. 30, to the former Carissa Megali. He's looking forward to serving the residents of Clay County.
