Convicted felon's probation revoked

John H. Rice Jr. was in Clay Circuit Court Monday for a petition to revoke probation due to probation violation. The petition to revoke was granted by Judge Ernest Yelton.

Convicted of a Class C Felony Child Molesting charge Aug. 11, 2003, Rice was ordered to have no unsupervised contact with children, the victim or the victim's family. On Nov. 3, Rice had contact with the victims 5-year-old sister.

The sentence was modified to order Rice to be under a GPS Electronic Home Detention for a period of 60 days through Clay County Community Corrections. He is to comply with all rules and regulations of the program. He must strictly comply with each and every term of probation heretofore entered and reimburse the Clay Co. Public Defender Fund the sum of $150.
