Robert Lamb II, of Brazil, pleaded not guilty in Clay Superior Court Wednesday morning. He was charged with a hunting without consent charge filed Oct. 26, 2004 on behalf of Eric V. Stearley, Brazil.
The class C misdemeanor, of which approximately 10 to 30 are filed during any given hunting season, is punishable with the maximum of 60 days in jail and a $500 fine plus court costs.
"I've said the same thing since the beginning of all this," Lamb said, leaving the courtroom with his wife. "I told the truth then, I plead not guilty today."
A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Feb. 9, with a March 9 trial date. Until the matter has a legal ending, it seems the debate will continue.
