Roger Lindsay was released from the Clay County Jail Dec. 23 after posting $10,000 cash bond.
Lindsay was indicted by a Grand Jury on Dec. 9 for one count of corrupt business influence, a Class C Felony, and two counts of false reporting, both a Class A Misdemeanor.
The Grand Jury indictment came after an Indiana State Police Cold Case investigation of the 1988 double homicide of Brazil residents Ricky Mustard and his 16-year-old stepdaughter, Tonya Pickett. Lindsay was a captain in the Brazil City Police Department at that time and was involved in the investigation. He is not considered a suspect in the murders.
Lindsay was arrested at his home in Tamarac, Fla. on Dec. 9 and was held at the Broward County Jail until his extradition to Brazil Dec. 17. There were no restrictions placed on Lindsay upon his release from the Clay County jail except to obey all federal, state and local laws.
His Attorney Scott Racop said he preferred not to comment at this time but assumed Lindsay had returned to his Florida home. An attorney's conference is scheduled for Lindsay in Clay Circuit Court on Jan. 6.
