With the 2004-2005 Clay County United Way Campaign under goal in its final months, every donation helps.

The Cinergy Foundation, a non-profit organization developed to reinvest funds in the communities it serves, donated $2,000 Jan. 10 to the Clay County United Way.

"We appreciate the Cinergy Foundation's contribution," Clay County United Way Vice President Cheryl Witted said, explaining that the organization has from now through March 2005 to meet the goal of $110,000. "We look forward to the community helping us reach our goal."

Funds generated by the Clay County United Way supports 22 agencies throughout the community.

"We're proud to be a part of the United Way team," Field Customer Relations Manager Rick Burger said. "They help the community in so very many ways, that I'd like to challenge the people to rise to the challenge and help reach the goal set for Clay County United Way."

"Donations, no matter how big or small, are greatly appreciated," Witted said, reminding people that they can call her at 446-2262 to make their contributions.
