Paul A. Lucas, 39, was arrested Thursday at his residence in Staunton by the Vigo County Drug Task force. He was taken to the Clay County Jail where he remains with $50,000 bond, 10 percent payable.
He was charged with dealing in a narcotic drug, methamphetamine over three grams, a Class A Felony, and possession of marijuana, a Class D felony. Police found nearly 15 grams of methamphetamine, 50-60 gms of marijuana and $44,000 cash in Lucas's residence.
WTHI-TV, Terre Haute, reported 132 guns were also found at the residence.
Lucas had his initial hearing Thursday in Clay Superior Court. A jury trial was scheduled for April 25. A Class A Felony is punishable by imprisonment of 20-50 years and up to a $10,000 fine. A Class D Felony is punishable by 1/2 -3 years in jail and up to a $10,000 fine. The Clay County Sheriff's Department assisted with the arrest.
