Bills die, cost district $160,000, Rep. Thomas says

Wednesday, March 2, 2005

Rep. Andy Thomas (R-Brazil) said Tuesday, "The walkout by the Democrats has killed a bill he authored which would have brought an additional $160,000 a year in road funding to House District 44."

Other bills authored or co-authored by Thomas which died as a result of the walk-out included a bill that allowed a county to be reimbursed for medical expenses of jail inmates, a bill allowing faith based prison dormitories, and a bill providing immunity for volunteers of not-for-profit organizations.
