Firefighters work to extinguish a fire in a house on C.R. 1350N, west of S.R. 59 Tuesday. The house had first caught fire Monday night and rekindled Tuesday. The cause of the fire is unknown. A firefighter at the scene, who asked not to be identified, did not think anyone was injured but believed the house was a total loss. Dick Johnson and Van Buren volunteer fire departments fought the blaze Monday and Dick Johnson firefighters returned Tuesday.
A woman identifying herself as a former owner of the house heard about the Monday fire and drove by the house Tuesday afternoon to see the damage. She saw smoke and called 911 to report the fire had rekindled.
A call to authorities for more information was not returned Tuesday.
