Summer school report expected

The July meeting of the Clay Community Schools Board of School Trustees is scheduled for tonight at the media center of the North Clay Middle School.

There will be a superintendent's report on summer school, discussion of health insurance costs and the utilization of distance education possibilities.

The board will elect new officers for the upcoming school year.

Textbook rental and school lunch fees will be discussed in comparison to last year's fees and the board will vote on the new proposed 2005/06 fees.

The board will also complete the first reading of new policies regarding bullying, display of the United States Flag and the Pledge of Allegiance, providing for a moment of silence during class time, implementation of new truant and exit interview procedures and the ad-ministration of medication to students at school.

The public is invited to attend the school board meeting which will begin at 7:30 p.m., immediately following the executive session.
