The Brazil City Council plans to take the first steps toward creating a non-reverting skate park fund at tonight's meeting.
Under new business, the council will consider on first of two required readings, an ordinance creating the fund as part of the Brazil Parks and Recreation Department non-reverting fund.
In a separate proposed ordinance, the council will consider creating a skate park advisory board for the creation and management of a skatepark to be built at Craig Park.
In old business, the council will consider second and final readings on stop sign ordinances that would designate John Street at the intersection with Mechanic Street a stop street and make Leavitt Street at Knight Street a stop intersection, too.
The council is expected to vote on a final reading of an ordinance allowing the placement of tables and chairs on National Avenue, between Depot Street and Alabama Street for the convenience of restaurant patrons.
The council is expected to vote on a final reading of an ordinance authorizing the acceptance of credit cards to pay city utility bills, fees, fines and other city services.
The City Council meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight in City Hall.
