Bullying, truancy on school board agenda

Monday, August 8, 2005

When the Clay Community School Board of Trustees meets Thursday night they will give consideration to adopting policies on bullying, the display of the United States flag, the Pledge of Allegiance, concerning moments of silence, habitual truancy, exit interview procedures and administration of medication.

If that sounds like a busy agenda, remember all of these items have been considered by the school board in previous meetings. The board will consider second readings and recommendations to approve each of these proposed policies.

The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Thursday, in the North Clay Middle School Library.

If you need a computer and think the school corporation's used equipment might fit your need, you may want to attend this meeting. The board will hear a report on a plan to dispose of surplus computer equipment.

Another item of interest to parents: school class size. The board will hear a report on projected class sizes for the upcoming school year.

Other items are on the agenda as well and the agenda may be changed at the meeting.
