Patrons of the Company's Coming eatery on Forest Avenue (State Road 59) may have to wait a while longer before the restaurant re-opens.
The delay is caused by zoning regulations. The neighborhood is zoned residential and when the building occupied by Company's Coming is sold, the new owner has to re-apply for a zoning variance before it can be opened as a business.
A representative of Jeanne Moschenrouse, the new owner, appeared before the Brazil City Council Tuesday night.
Mayor Tom Arthur apologized that the ordinance for the zoning variance was not ready to be presented to the council; so Moschenrouse will have to wait until at least the Sept. 13 council meeting for action to be taken on the request.
The new owner's representative, an agent with Emmert Realty, did not know Tuesday night if the delay would affect Moschenrouse's planned re-opening.
The re-opening was scheduled for Aug. 30.
