Visit Billie Creek Village and enjoy the 12th annual Antique Tractor and Engine Show scheduled during Billie Creek Village Steam Harvest Days. The featured tractor for this year is Ford. The Steam Harvest Day event is held each Labor Day Weekend, this year Sept. 3-5. This event is made possible with cooperation from the Covered Bridge Antique Power Association. The covered Bridge Antique Power Association will also be raffling a 1959 641 Ford Workmaster tractor. The drawing will be Sunday afternoon after the awards ceremony.
Daily activities and demonstrations include tractor games and parades; shingle making, candle dipping, caning, blacksmithing, pottery and broom making. Saturday only! Just-for-fun tractor pulls will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Tickets are available for the Harvest Dinner Celebration to take place on Saturday beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Chautauqua. Proceeds benefit Parke County Inc. The Harvest Celebration will feature a great dinner and local craft persons and artisans. Ticket information is available at the PCI office or by calling (765) 569-5226.
A special church service conducted by Dave Lash will be held on Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
All of these activities are taking place, while "old time" steam engine puffs away threshing and baling the "old fashioned way."
