This month's Clay Community Schools Board of School Trustees' meeting is going to be a busy one.
The public is invited to attend to see a demonstration of the Distance Learning Equipment, hear update information by Superintendent William Schad concerning student enrollment so far this year and the details of Standard & Poor's Award for Closing the Gap with Economically Disadvantaged Students.
Among the various other items relevant to the Board are:
- A review and discussion concerning the proposed reduction of several line items of the General Budget,
- The request the approval for advertisement of school buses, fuel and tires,
- The recommendation to adopt the plans and resolutions pertaining to the 2006 General Budget, the 2006 Capital Projects Fund Plan, the 2006 School Bus Replacement Plan,
- Approval of emergency an extra-curricular treasurer for Forest Park Elementary School, placement of Indiana State University student athletic trainers at Northview High School and the appointment of a Board member to the Reconsideration Committee.
School Board members Steven Grigsby, Jim Guy, Dottie King, Terry Barr, Len Fischer, Ted Jackson and Joe Thomas are scheduled to attend the meeting this Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the Media Center at North Clay Middle School.
