The horrific images of devastation coming from the Gulf Coast area has touched the hearts of millions across the nation and moved them to action.
Locals schools and businesses are seeking to do their part as well.
- The Jackson Township Elementary Student Council sponsored a "Hat Day" on Sept. 2. Students could pay $.50 or more to wear a hat to school. They collected $427, which was donated to the American Red Cross for the Hurricane Katrina victims.
- A Hat Day at North Clay Middle School allowed the students to collect $266.
- The Clay City High School Bible Club is collecting donations and sponsoring contests to purchase water supplies for the hurricane victims. For each pallet of
