Indiana State Police troopers arrested John Joseph Fuhs, 54, of Spencer, Wednesday evening at a Northview High School tennis match after receiving several reports he was intoxicated.

Fuhs, the Owen Valley High School tennis coach, had driven a school bus with the Owen Valley tennis team aboard to the match at NHS but was not in the bus when troopers arrived on the scene to investigate the matter.

After performing a breathalyzer test in which Fuhs tested .15 blood alcohol content, almost twice the legal limit, he was arrested on one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and taken to the Clay County jail where his bond was set for $7,000 with 10 percent cash.

Fuhs was released shortly after midnight.

Further details of the case were unavailable as of press time. Indiana State Police continues to investigate.
